Between 1914 and 1989, Southeast Missouri State University published the Sagamore, a yearbook capturing images of administrators, faculty, students, and campus life. Special Collections eventually plans to add all years of the Sagamore to this collection, and yearbooks will be added sequentially as they are completed. Yearbooks are scanned with optical character recognition software (OCR) so page text is fully searchable. Patrons with questions about yearbooks not yet available in the digital collection are advised to contact Special Collections at firstname.lastname@example.org. The Sagamore digitization project is partially funded through the Heather Greene Endowed Scholarship for Special Collections and Archives, which provides for a student pursuing a major or minor in Historic Preservation to work in Special Collections.
